MLS integration??

Anyone know how to integrate an ASP.NET website with MLS (multiple listing
service, used by realtors)? I want my site to display housing listings,
etc...
Thanks! My guess would be contact whoever provides the MLS service, and see if
they have a webservice available for you to consume in your asp.net app.
I can tell you for a fact that the MLS listings in Canada aren't available
for resale. I strongly believe that this is true in the US as well. The
information is considered quite lucrative.
There is some interesting legalese behind all of it. While NAR (national
association of REALTORS) and CREA (Canadian REALTOR assocation) claim to
"own" the listings, I believe they are actually owned by the brokers (ie
REALTORS) selling the house. This means that in reality, the home owner
actually owns the listing and could probably force his/her realtor to make
it publically available, or available for sale, circumventing the somewhat
narrow-minded NAR/CREA.

I THINK the way it works is that if you are a registered realtor you get
and can publish MLS listings on your site. You would need to be a
member of the Nattaional Association of Realtors or some such
organization that controls the MLS service. It's kind of a buy in
system - you buy in and thus get access to everyone else's listings.
But, if I remember correctly they do have an API.
